How to Reset Mikrotik RouterOS Configuration

MikroTik RouterOS is a popular routing and firewall software that is known for its versatility and ease of use. Resetting Mikrotik RouterOS via Web Interface

  3. In the left-hand sidebar, click on the Reboot submenu.

Resetting Mikrotik RouterOS via CLI (Command Line Interface)

  1. Connect to your MikroTik RouterOS device using a terminal program such as Putty or Minicom.
  2. Log in using your username and password. The default username is admin and the default password is mikrotik.
  3. Type the following command and press Enter: /system reboot factory-default
  4. Confirm the action by typing yes and pressing Enter. The router will now reboot and restore the factory defaults.
