How to Install Windows OS Using a Flash Drive with Wintoflash

Installing a new Operating System (OS) can be an intimidating task, but with the right tools and instructions, it can be accomplished relatively easily. In this tutorial, we'll walk through the process of installing Windows OS using a flash drive and Wintoflash.

Prerequisites

Before we begin, make sure you have the following:

  1. A Windows installation media (ISO file)
  2. An empty USB flash drive with at least 8GB capacity
  3. A computer that can boot from a USB drive
  4. Wintoflash tool

Step 1: Prepare the USB Flash Drive

  1. Plug in your USB flash drive into your computer.
  2. Open Wintoflash and click on "Select a drive" button, then choose your USB drive.
  3. Click on "Write Image File to Disk" and select your Windows installation media ISO file.
  4. Wait for the process to complete. Once it's done, click on "Exit."

Step 2: Create a Bootable USB Drive

  1. Restart your computer and press the key to enter the BIOS setup menu (usually F2 or Esc).
  2. Locate the "Boot Order" option in the BIOS settings and change it so that your USB drive is the first boot device.
  3. Save and exit the BIOS settings, then restart your computer.

Step 3: Install Windows OS

  1. Once your computer boots from the USB drive, you'll see the Windows setup screen. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.
  2. During the installation process, make sure to select the correct partition where you want to install Windows and format it if necessary.
  3. Once the installation is complete, restart your computer and remove the USB drive.
