Adding Slides to Presentations in Blogger: A Step-by-Step Guide

Blogger, Google's popular blogging platform, doesn't support direct upload of PowerPoint presentations or Google Slides. However, you can still share your slides as an alternative format that can be embedded into your Blogger post. Here's how to do it:

Prerequisites

  1. Prepare your PowerPoint or Google Slides presentation. Make sure the slides are clear and visually appealing.
  2. Convert your presentation to a PDF or JPEG format. You can use Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides, or other tools like SlideShare for conversion.
  3. Save the converted file in a location accessible from your Blogger post.

Steps to Add Slides to Your Blogger Post

  1. Log in to your Blogger account and go to the post editor.
  2. Compose your text with brief descriptions about each slide. For instance, write "Slide 1: Introduction" or "Slide 3: Key Findings."
  3. Insert a blank image placeholder for each slide. Click on the "Insert Image" button in the toolbar and upload an appropriately-sized transparent PNG image. Repeat this step for each slide.
  4. Now, embed the slides as links within the post. To do this, click on the previously inserted image. In the "Link" tab under the Properties panel, paste the URL of the uploaded PDF or JPEG file. Make sure the link is set to open in a new tab ("_blank") for a better user experience.
  5. Repeat this process for all slides and save the post as a draft.
  6. Preview your post to check if the image placeholders appear correctly as clickable links.
  7. Once you're satisfied with the presentation, publish your post.

By following these steps, you can effectively share your PowerPoint or Google Slides presentations within a Blogger post, enhancing user engagement and providing additional context to your content. Happy blogging!
