Troubleshooting Error in Accessing Blogspot Template with HTTPS

If you've recently encountered an error while trying to access your Blogspot template using HTTPS, don't panic! In this post, we'll walk you through the steps to resolve this issue.

Check Your Custom Domaine Name Settings

First and foremost, ensure that your custom domain name is set up correctly in your Blogspot account. Here's how:

  1. Go to Blogger Dashboard.
  2. Select the blog for which you want to fix the issue.
  3. Click on Settings > Basic.
  4. Under the Publishing tab, check if your custom domain name is set correctly. If not, update it with the correct address and save your changes.

Update Your HTTPS Settings

Next, let's update the HTTPS settings for your Blogspot template:

  1. In your Blogger Dashboard, go to Settings > Basic.
  2. Under the Publishing tab, find the HTTPS availability section and select the Default option or choose the Full option if desired. Keep in mind that enabling HTTPS for your entire blog might affect performance, so it's recommended to use the default setting unless you have a specific need for full HTTPS.
  3. Save your changes.

Verify Your SSL Certificate

Make sure that your SSL certificate is valid and properly installed on your web host. If your SSL certificate is not valid or not installed, contact your web hosting provider's support team for assistance.

Clear Your Browser Cache

Lastly, clear your browser cache to ensure that you're accessing the latest version of the Blogspot template:

  1. In your preferred web browser, click on the three dots (Chrome) or the gear icon (Firefox), and then select More tools > Clear browsing data.
  2. In the dialog box, select the time range for which you want to clear data, and then check the boxes next to Cookies and other site data, and Cached images and files.
  3. Click on the Clear data button.

Now that we've covered these steps, try accessing your Blogspot template again using HTTPS. If you still encounter issues, reach out to your web hosting provider's support team for further assistance.

Happy blogging!
