Introduction and History of Android | Android is an operating system mobile phones and tablet computer touch screen (touch screen) based on Linux. History of Android
At the beginning, Android Inc. is a small software company that was established in October 2003 in Palo Alto, California, USA. Founded by several senior at several companies based IT & Communication; Andy Rubin, Rich Miner, Nick Sears and Chris White. According to Rubin, Android Inc. was founded to realize a mobile device is more sensitive to the location and owner preferences. In other words, Android Inc. wants to realize better understand mobile device owners.

The concept is owned by Android Inc. turned out to arouse the interest of Google to have it. In August 2005, finally Android Inc. was acquired by Google Inc. all the shares purchased by Google. Many of the estimated value of the purchase of Android Inc. Google is USD 50 million. At that time, many speculate that this acquisition is the first step that made Google to enter the mobile phone market.

Andy Rubin, Rich Miner, Nick Sears and Chris White remained in that Google bought Android Inc., so that eventually they all become part of the history of the giant Google and Android. That's when they start using the Linux platform to create operating system for mobile phones.

In September 2007, Google began filed a patent application a mobile phone. Followed by the introduction of the first Android mobile devices in 2008, namely the HTC Dream. This device uses the Android operating system version 1.0.

The presence of the HTC Dream has been encouraging companies to join the other hardware using the Android operating system. Then in 2008, there are several companies that joined the Android Arm Holdings, which is manufactured by Atheros Communications, Asustek Computer Inc, Garmin Ltd, Softbank, Sony Ericsson, Toshiba Corp. and Vodafone Group Plc.

Currently, the Android operating system is becoming a favorable option for many vendors smarthpone, because it has a license fee that is cheaper and its semi-open source. In addition, Android would also support the various services from Google.

Samsung became the most successful Android vendor after introducing Android handset named Samsung Galaxy.

With the support of various vendors of smartphones, now Android has managed to subvert Apple as the most widely used operating system. Android now control 59% of sales of smartphones and tablets in the world.
