How to Easily Copy All Contacts from Blackberry to a New Smartphone

If you're making the switch from a Blackberry smartphone to a new device, you might be wondering how to transfer all your contacts to the new phone. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to do it without any images.

Method 1: Using Sync via Bluetooth or USB

  1. Blackberry: Go to Settings > Manage Connections > Bluetooth. Turn on Bluetooth and make your Blackberry discoverable by other devices.
  2. New Smartphone: Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn on the Bluetooth as well. Your new smartphone should detect your Blackberry. Pair the two devices if prompted.
  3. Blackberry: Go to Contacts > Menu > Export vCard. Select all contacts and export them. They will be saved in a file called contacts.vcf in the My Docs folder.
  4. New Smartphone: Use an appropriate app or the built-in Contacts app on your new smartphone to import the contacts.vcf file from the Bluetooth file transfer.

Alternatively, you can also connect both phones using a USB cable and follow similar steps for exporting and importing contacts.

Method 2: Using Blackberry Link or BlackBerry Desktop Manager

  1. Install BlackBerry Link or BlackBerry Desktop Manager on your computer if you haven't already. Connect your old Blackberry to the computer using a USB cable.
  2. Sync your contacts with the software by clicking on Synchronize Contacts. Save the file to a location of your choice.
  3. Disconnect the Blackberry from your computer and connect your new smartphone to it. Sync the contacts again using the software and select the option to overwrite contacts on your new device.

These methods should help you transfer all your contacts from your old Blackberry phone to your new smartphone. Happy switching!
