The 5 Safest Countries for Women in the World

Sometimes women want to enjoy holidays with female friends, but they have to think twice about going on vacation without a male friend. For women on vacation alone it might be a bit scary. Is there in this world a country that is safe for holidays or inhabited?

Talking about safe places, US News & World Report Research found that there are currently five safest and most comfortable countries for women to live in. The research was conducted on 9,000 women in each country who have human rights, gender quality, income equality, security and the best progress for women.

Based on the research, quoting from Businessinsider, the following list of countries is safe for women throughout the world.

1. Denmark.

Women in the country can feel very safe and comfortable. Women are also treated very well in the world of work. Women have the most flexible leave rights in Europe. They also had the opportunity to get their best salary, not different from male workers.

2. Sweden.

In 2017, Sweden was successfully named the safest and number one country for women. In addition to the beautiful scenery, Swedish society is also known to be friendly to tourists.

3. Norway.

Norway is the third best country out of 144 countries in the world. Women here get good gender equality and get the best maternity leave rights compared to other countries in the world.

4. Netherlands.

The country which occupies the fourth position is the Netherlands. Women in the Netherlands get better gender equality. At least there are gender gaps, even making women here get health, education, political and economic facilities that are quite equal to men.

5. Finland.

Finland has a friendly and safe environment for women. Not only that, women were offered unlimited rights to vote and be elected in parliament in this country.
